Frogner IL was one of 54 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Ellingsrud Vårcup 2024. They participated with four teams in Jenter 10 (født 2013) and Jenter 14, Nivå 2 (født 2009) respectively. The team in Jenter 14, Nivå 2 (født 2009) made it to the the Semi final in Sluttspill, but lost it against Ski IL Håndball 1 by 7-8.

In addition to this, Frogner IL have participated in Ellingsrud Vårcup before. During Ellingsrud Vårcup 2023, Frogner had 7 teams playing in Gutter 10 (født 2012), Gutter 15, Nivå 2 (født 2007), Jenter 10 (født 2012), Jenter 12, Nivå 2 (født 2010), J15/16 Innledende and Jenter 15, Nivå 2 (født 2007) respectively. The team in Jenter 15, Nivå 2 (født 2007) made it to the the Semi final in Sluttspill, but lost it against Ullensaker/Kisa IL Håndball 2 by 9-10.

Frogner comes from Frogner which lies approximately 14 km from Oslo, where Ellingsrud Vårcup takes place. The area around Frogner does also provide 37 additional clubs participating during Ellingsrud Vårcup 2024 (Among others: Nit/Hak Håndballklubb, Furuset Håndball IF, Rælingen Håndballklubb, Oppsal, Kjelsås IL, Ullensaker/Kisa IL Håndball, Njård, Ellingsrud IL, Bækkelagets SK and Gjerdrum IL).
