Sinsen-Refstad IL was one of 49 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Ellingsrud Vårcup 2020. They participated with two teams in Jenter 12, Nivå 1 (født 2008) and Jenter 14, Nivå 1 (født 2006) respectively. Two teams played until Final in Sluttspill; Jenter 14, Nivå 1 (født 2006) won over Lørenskog HK Blå by 7-6 but Jenter 12, Nivå 1 (født 2008) lost against Ellingsrud IL by 12-13.

In addition to this, Sinsen-Refstad IL have participated in Ellingsrud Vårcup before. During Ellingsrud Vårcup 2019, Sinsen-Refstad had 4 teams playing in Gutter 9 (født 2009), Gutter 11, Nivå 2 (født 2007), Gutter 12, Nivå 2 (født 2006) and Jenter 10 (født 2008) respectively. The team in Gutter 12, Nivå 2 (født 2006) made it to the the Bronze match in Sluttspilland won it over Ellingsrud IL /Bøler by 13-12.

Sinsen-Refstad originates from Oslo, which is the same city as where Ellingsrud Vårcup takes place. The area around Oslo does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Ellingsrud Vårcup 2020 (Among others: Vålerenga, Fjellhammer IL, Ås IL, Ullensaker/Kisa IL Håndball, Frogner IL, Skedsmo Håndballklubb, Lørenskog HK, Skjetten, SSK, Ellingsrud IL and Høybråten og Stovner IL).
